Many Christian families—both urban and semi-rural—struggle to find tools that help them engage meaningfully with Scripture. The Thai Bible Society is endeavouring to fill that gap with its 100 Steps Family Bible in Thai project.

This project is designed to nurture a lifelong love for God’s Word by strengthening Bible engagement within families—especially among children at a formative age. Through the publication and distribution of the 100 Steps Family Bible (Thai Edition), the Thailand Bible Society is equipping parents and caregivers to disciple their children through regular, shared encounters with Scripture.

This initiative provides a simple, structured framework for Bible reading, reflection, and discussion. Aimed at children aged eight and above, the resource is designed to be age-appropriate, engaging, and accessible, helping young learners not only understand Scripture but also apply biblical truths in daily life. As families read together, bonds are strengthened and faith is nurtured across generations.

Over the next 12 months, 5,000 copies of the 100 Steps Family Bible will be distributed to churches, schools, and households. Alongside this, at least 50 church leaders, Sunday school teachers, and family ministry workers will be trained to use the resource effectively, supporting Bible-based discipleship in their communities. The goal is to foster regular Bible use in at least 1,000 households during the first year alone. Your gift to Bible a Month Regular Giving this month will support this project.

Prayer Points for Thailand

Pray that God would use the 100 Steps Family Bible to draw children and parents closer to Him, fostering lasting faith in families.

As copies of the 100 Steps Family Bible are distributed to churches, schools and households, pray that logistical challenges would be overcome.

Pray for the Bible-based programmes to bear lasting fruit, shaping young hearts with godly values and transforming families and communities.

Pray for Bible schools in their mission to train leaders and for the development of mature Thai Christian leaders who have wisdom and integrity.

Pray more with us here.

FURTHER BIBLE MISSION PROJECTS

Algeria

In the 1980s, it is estimated there were 2,000 Christians in Algeria. Today, the number is estimated to be between 100,000 – 200,000. The majority are Kabyle Berbers, whose forebears were Christians, who had fled to the Djurdjura Mountains in northern Algeria following the Islamic invasion in the 7th century.

Many Algerian seekers begin their Christian journey by watching Christian TV programmes or listening to Christian radio. Bible Society’s phone number is provided at the end of the programmes. Bible Society has an important role to play as it is the only source of Bibles in the country. The combination of Christian broadcasting combined with Bible Society’s role is having a great impact in Algeria.

Central Africa Republic

In the 19th century, the area now known as the Central Africa Republic (CAR) became a French colony. Initially known as the French Congo, it then became known as Ubangi-Shari. The French exploited the land and dominated the people. In 1960, Ubangi-Shari achieved independence.

Since gaining independence CAR has experienced decades of violence and instability. Today, armed militia groups still occupy most of the country. There have been attacks against Christians with churches torched, and Christians displaced. In this context the Bible Society in the Central African Republic is working to bring Bibles to vulnerable people. It is providing audio Bibles and establishing listening groups. It is providing trauma healing for people affected by conflict.

Estonia

In the 13th century, the Teutonic Knights brought Christianity to Estonia. Long dominated by surrounding nations, it achieved a relatively short independence (1918-1940), before being invaded by the Soviet Union which enforced state atheism. In 1991, Estonia achieved independence. Today, Estonia is one of the least religious countries in Europe with only 14 per cent of the population declaring religion to be an important part of their daily lives.

The Estonian Bible Society is working to reach both Christians and non-Christians to better inform them about the Word of God and what it can mean for their lives. Focusing on both Christian and secular outlets, it uses weekly radio programmes, exhibitions, workshops, and conferences to achieve this.

Ethiopia

Ethiopia has a very old continuous history, tracing its roots to ancient kingdoms such as Dʿmt and Aksum. By the first century AD, Ethiopia had become a powerful trading empire linking Africa, Arabia, and the Mediterranean. Christianity arrived in the 4th century and was adopted as the state religion. Today, 67 per cent of the population identify as Christian.

Unlike most African countries, Ethiopia was never colonised. However, it was occupied by Italy during World War II and incorporated into Italian East Africa. The occupation ended when Ethiopian patriots, supported by Allied forces, restored Emperor Haile Selassie to the throne. The Bible Society of Ethiopia is distributing Bibles and translating the Word into local languages.

Your contribution to Bible a Month Regular Giving this month will play a crucial role in supporting Bible mission in Thailand,.

[30
10,11,12,9
post-97939","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-bamrg-members-report","tag-bible-engagement","tag-bible-mission","tag-bible-poverty","tag-get-involved
["GET
