THE CAUSE
On 24 June 2026, two powerful earthquakes struck Venezuela within seconds of each other, leaving unimaginable devastation in their wake.
More than 1,700 people have lost their lives, tens of thousands remain missing, and countless families have been left grieving the loss of loved ones, homes, and livelihoods. Already facing years of poverty, violence, and political instability, communities are now struggling to rebuild after this catastrophic disaster.
Roads have been destroyed, hospitals are overwhelmed, and many communities remain without power or access to vital supplies. Yet even in the midst of such heartbreak, local churches are opening their doors to provide shelter, food, prayer, and hope.
The Bible Society of Venezuela is standing alongside these churches, comforting grieving families and sharing the hope of God’s Word. Alongside Scripture, they are distributing emergency relief kits containing essential food, clean water, and hygiene supplies to those who have lost everything.
