Supporter Engagement, Marketing and Fundraising Manager

We are seeking an experienced and values-driven Supporter Engagement, Marketing and Fundraising Manager to join our Senior Leadership Team and play a key role in shaping the future of BSNZ’s mission impact.

About the role:

Reporting to the Chief Executive, this senior leadership role is responsible for the strategic direction and delivery of BSNZ’s fundraising, supporter engagement, marketing, and communications activity. 

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, strengthen supporter and donor relationships, grow and diversify income streams, and enhance BSNZ’s brand presence and public profile. Your work will directly support the sustainability and reach of Bible mission in Aotearoa New Zealand and internationally. 

This is a role for a strategic thinker who can also lead delivery, bring people together, and translate vision into action.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing supporter engagement, marketing, and fundraising team 
  • Develop and deliver integrated fundraising, engagement, and marketing strategies aligned to BSNZ’s mission and strategic direction 
  • Strengthen donor and supporter journeys, with a focus on care, stewardship, retention, and long-term engagement 
  • Drive fundraising performance across appeals, campaigns, membership, and donor programmes 
  • Leverage digital platforms, analytics, and CRM systems to improve engagement, acquisition, and campaign effectiveness 
  • Lead the promotion of BSNZ’s domestic and international mission programmes 
  • Partner with retail leadership to connect customers with mission and support sales promotion initiatives 
  • Build strong internal and external relationships, including churches, media, suppliers, and key stakeholders 
  • Use data, evaluation, and insights to continuously improve performance and impact 

About you:

You are a confident, collaborative leader with a strong strategic mindset and a passion for purpose-driven work. You will bring: 

  • Senior-level experience in fundraising, supporter engagement, marketing, or communications, ideally within a not-for-profit or mission-led organisation 
  • Proven success developing and delivering strategies that achieve income growth and engagement outcomes 
  • Experience leading and developing multidisciplinary teams 
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including donors, partners, and media 
  • Confidence working with digital platforms, analytics, and CRM systems (e.g. Raiser’s Edge or similar) 
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high-level, strategic perspective 
  • Alignment with BSNZ’s Christian mission, values, and ethos

Content and Social Media Coordinator

This is a permanent, full-time (37.5 hours) position based at our head office in Wiri, Auckland.

We’re looking for a creative, digitally savvy Content and Social Media Coordinator to help bring our online presence to life. This role sits within the Supporter Engagement and Mission Services team and plays a key part in growing our digital community, strengthening supporter relationships, and supporting both mission and retail outcomes.

What You Will Do:

You’ll be the voice and visual storyteller behind our social and email communications, creating engaging content that connects people to our mission and inspires action.

You will:

  • Create engaging social content (posts, stories, reels, video)
  • Deliver and support digital and social media strategy
  • Build and grow online communities
  • Be a confident on-camera brand representative
  • Plan and send targeted email campaigns
  • Manage paid digital advertising campaigns
  • Track, analyse, and report on performance
  • Stay across digital trends and tools
  • Maintain digital platforms (including Google Business profiles)
  • Monitor online engagement and manage risk and reputation

About you:

You are a creative communicator who is comfortable both behind the screen and in front of the camera. You enjoy storytelling, understand what makes audiences engage, and are confident working across multiple digital platforms.

You will also bring:

  • Experience in social media content creation and digital marketing
  • Strong writing and visual content skill
  • Confidence producing and editing short-form video content
  • Understanding of email marketing and audience segmentation
  • Confidence using analytics to improve results
  • Awareness of social media platforms, trends, and best practice
  • Strong understanding of online safety and privacy
  • Confidence representing an organisation online in an authentic way

Permanent Part-time Sales Assistant Position – Lower Hutt

Manna Christian Stores, New Zealand’s leading provider of Bibles and Christian resources, is committed to supporting the faith journey of individuals and communities through our range of Bibles, Christian books, digital resources, and gifts. With eight physical stores, a thriving online presence, and business-to-business services, we are proud to be part of Bible Society New Zealand, the country’s largest and longest-serving Bible mission organisation.

We are looking for a passionate and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our Lower Hutt team on a permanent part-time basis.  In this role, you will help customers find the right resources from our extensive range of Bibles, books, digital media, and gifts, providing excellent service with a heart for our mission.

The successful applicant will be required to work each Saturday from 10:00am to 4:00pm (5.5 hours per week).  Additional casual hours may be offered from time to time, depending on store needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting customers with their purchases, offering helpful and informed advice
  • Ensuring the store is well-presented and stocked
  • Operating the point-of-sale system
  • Working collaboratively with a supportive, faith-driven team

What we’re looking for

  • A genuine passion for Christian books and resources, with a strong understanding of our customer base.
  • A friendly, approachable attitude with a genuine love for helping others.
  • Previous retail experience, with a focus on customer service.
  • Reliability and dependability – someone we can count on to show up for work and contribute positively to the team.
