When Tetiana Tkachuk's husband was killed while defending Ukraine in 2022, her world fell apart.

"I didn't know how to keep living," she recalls. "I constantly dreamed of dying just to be with him again."

Overwhelmed by grief, Tetiana withdrew from those around her. Everything changed when she joined a support group, where she was given a Bible by the Ukrainian Bible Society.

Although she had never believed in God before, reading His Word transformed her life.

"I surrendered to God and invited Jesus Christ into my heart. Immediately, I felt a heavy burden lift. I could sleep again. I found peace. I realised God had never left me."

Today, Tetiana is a baptised Christian who leads support groups for widows and has completed chaplaincy training. Having experienced God's comfort herself, she now walks alongside others facing unimaginable loss.

"Life is so much easier with God. Without Him, it is impossible."
