WILL YOU HELP CARRY GOD’S WORD FORWARD?

Bible Society NZ · 1 October 2026 · 3 min read

On 2 September 2026, Bible Society New Zealand celebrated 180 years of Bible mission in New Zealand.

For 180 years, people across Aotearoa New Zealand have prayed, given and served so that more people can encounter God’s Word.

These faithful supporters have helped carry God’s Word across Aotearoa New Zealand and around the world.

Today, Bible Society continues this work through Bible translation, printing, distribution and Scripture engagement, helping people access God’s Word in languages and formats they can understand.

But there are still people waiting.

The next chapter is now in our hands.

Simply use the secure online donation form or internet banking to make your gift today. Your generosity can help help make Bibles and Scripture resources available to people who are still waiting to encounter God’s Word.

Celebrating 180 Year of Bible Mission In New Zealand. A Message From CEO Neels Janse van Rensburg

ONE BIBLE. ONE GIFT. A REACH WE CANNOT SEE.

When you help provide a Bible, support a translation or make Scripture available to someone who has never had the opportunity to read it, you may never know how far that gift will travel.

It may be read by a child who grows up knowing God’s love.

It may bring comfort to someone in their darkest moment.

It may be shared with a family, a church or an entire community.

What begins with one Bible can reach far beyond one person.

“Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. – Psalm 90:12 (NIV)”
