Bring Bibles to New Zealanders

On behalf of everyone at Bible Society New Zealand, thank you for your prayers and generous support. Because of you, we’ve been able to reach important milestones and continue sharing God’s Word with people who need it most.

This year, together we celebrated the launch of the Urak Lawoi Bible translation in Thailand and, closer to home, the first-ever complete Bible for the people of Tokelau—a historic moment that will bless generations to come. We also released a newly updated Cook Islands Māori Bible, ensuring God’s Word remains accessible in the heart language of Cook Islands communities here in New Zealand.

Your support also helped distribute more than 190,000 Bibles and Scripture resources across homes, prisons, schools, churches, and communities throughout New Zealand.

At the same time, progress continues on the Māori Audio Bible, with 11 books of the New Testament now recorded and available online, and the full New Testament expected to be completed by the end of this year.

Globally, your generosity supported 49 Bible projects, helping address Bible poverty, strengthen Bible engagement, and bring Scripture-based care to communities facing hardship.

As we approach our 180th year of Bible mission in New Zealand, we remain deeply committed to making the Bible accessible to everyone.

Thank you for standing with us in this mission. Your partnership is helping ensure that more people can encounter the hope and truth found in God’s Word.

While we count our blessings for all that has been achieved over the past year, we also remember our brothers and sisters here in Aotearoa — those serving on the frontline protecting our country, and many others who are longing to encounter God’s Word in their lives.

Your gift today will help:

📖 Distribute more than 70,000 Bibles, New Testaments and Scriptural resources to chaplaincies in prisons, hospitals, and schools.

📖 Reprint three specially designed Bibles for the Army, Navy, and Air Force.

📖 Reprint special-edition Bibles for members of the Boys’ Brigade, Girls’ Brigade, and Rally.

📖 Give away 76,000 copies of our special Easter Flip Book for children across New Zealand.

Simply use the secure online donation form or internet banking to make your gift to help bring the life-changing Word of God to New Zealanders.

Bible for New Zealanders

Help put Bibles into the hands of The New Zealand Defence Force

For over a century, Bible Society New Zealand has been helping New Zealanders in the Defence Forces encounter God’s Word. From the first Bibles given to soldiers in World War I to the specially designed editions for the Army, Navy, and Air Force of today, Scripture has provided hope, guidance, and comfort to those serving our nation.

In 2019, Bible Society New Zealand produced bespoke Bible editions for the Army, Navy, and Air Force, tailored with messages from Defence Force leaders and elements specific to each service branch. These editions were supplied to the chaplaincy services and new recruits.

This year, we plan to reprint these three Bible editions for the Army, Navy, and Air Force.

When you give today, you’re helping to ensure every Kiwi in uniform has access to the life-changing message of the Bible — a reliable source of encouragement, even in the hardest times.
