Lebanon

At the crossroads of Asia, Africa, and Europe, Lebanon has long been a land of remarkable cultural and religious diversity. Through centuries of Roman, Arab, and Ottoman rule, and later French mandate, Lebanon’s identity has been shaped by both resilience and faith. Gaining independence in 1943, the nation flourished as a hub of trade and learning, but years of civil war, foreign occupation, and political instability have left deep scars.
Since 2019, Lebanon has faced one of the worst economic crises in its history, devastating livelihoods and prompting many to leave in search of stability. Once a nation where Christians formed the majority, today they make up less than a third of the population. Many believers feel disheartened, yet amid hardship, a faithful remnant continues to live out Christ’s call to be salt and light in their communities.
The Bible Society of Lebanon stands as a beacon of hope in these challenging times. Its mission is to share the life-giving Word of God with every generation—

  • Translating, publishing, and distributing the Scriptures in print, digital, visual, and audio formats.
  • Encouraging people to engage deeply with God’s Word.
  • Advocating for the Bible’s message as a foundation for human dignity.
  • Partnering with all churches and Christian organizations across the nation.

Despite the nation’s struggles, the Bible Society continues to grow— opening new centres, fostering unity across denominations, and ensuring that God’s Word remains a source of comfort, courage, and renewal for Lebanon and beyond.

Guatemala - BAMRG

Guatemala

About Guatemala

Guatemala is a country in Central America with tall mountains, green forests, and a rich, colourful culture. But life can be very hard for many people. Half of the families live on less than $2 a day, and many children go hungry, feel scared, or worry about their future.

Your Impact

Your help lets the Bible Society of Guatemala share God’s Word in the languages people speak and give Bibles to families. Each Bible brings hope, joy, and love. By supporting this work, you help children and communities learn about God and feel His care every single day.

Zambia - BAMRG

Zambia

About Zambia

Zambia is a beautiful country with wide savannahs and the amazing Victoria Falls. Most people, over 85{0efa61f77e4cd09e7b4f08094b2911ffcdf8ad00293cb60de4a24edfe6036ea2}, are Christians, but many, especially in villages far from towns, do not have Bibles. Poverty, low reading skills, and few resources make it hard for people to read or hear God’s Word.

Your Impact

Your support helps the Bible Society of Zambia give Bibles in print and audio so everyone can understand God’s Word. Each Bible brings hope, helps people grow in faith, and teaches them to share God’s love with their families and communities all across the country.

West Indies-BAMRG

West Indies

About West Indies

The West Indies are a small group of islands where life can be hard for many people. Some cannot read long passages, and very few have a Bible. Colourful, easy-to-read Scripture leaflets help people learn about God in a simple way. Churches take these leaflets when they visit hospitals, prisons, and homes, so more people can hear God’s love and hope.

Your Impact

Your support helps make and send these leaflets to people across the islands. Each leaflet brings hope, love, and encouragement. By sharing God’s Word, you help children, families, and whole communities grow in faith and feel God’s care every day.

Ghana - BAMRG

Ghana

About Ghana

Ghana is a country in West Africa with over 30 million people. Most people are Christians, but many follow other traditions too. Around 240,000 people in Ghana cannot see, and most of them are very poor.

Your Impact

Your support helps give God’s Word in braille, audio, and big print so people who are blind can read, learn, and join church. Special schools also teach braille to both blind and sighted students. With your help, more Ghanaians can learn about God, grow in faith, feel included, and share His love with their families and communities.

The Book of Jonah

When God’s Purpose Isn’t in Your Plans

The book of Jonah is best known for Jonah’s run-in with a large fish. But there’s much more to the story than Jonah’s three-day stay in a fish’s belly. It’s about God’s grace, compassion, and love—even toward wayward people—and his commitment to spreading his message around the world.
