BIBLES FOR NEW ZEALANDERS
Bible Society NZ · 18 February 2026 · 2 min read
THE CAUSE
At Easter, we celebrate the victory of Jesus over sin and death — and the promise of new life that continues to bring hope to a hurting world. Here in New Zealand, many are suffering in silence, searching for meaning and hope.
Bible Society New Zealand is working with partners across the country to change that. With your support, we can help more Kiwis encounter the risen Christ through the Word of God—in a language and format that speaks to them.
Simply use the secure online donation form or internet banking to make your gift to help bring the life-changing Word of God to New Zealanders.
THE IMPACT
Your gift today will help:
Distribute more than 70,000 Bibles, New Testaments and Scriptural resources to chaplaincies in prisons, hospitals, and schools.
Reprint three specially designed Bibles for the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
Reprint special-edition Bibles for members of the Boys’ Brigade, Girls’ Brigade, and Rally.
Give away 76,000 copies of our special Easter Flip Book for children across New Zealand.
Help put Bibles into the hands of The New Zealand Defence Force
For over a century, Bible Society New Zealand has been helping New Zealanders in the Defence Forces encounter God’s Word. From the first Bibles given to soldiers in World War I to the specially designed editions for the Army, Navy, and Air Force of today, Scripture has provided hope, guidance, and comfort to those serving our nation.
In 2019, Bible Society New Zealand produced bespoke Bible editions for the Army, Navy, and Air Force, tailored with messages from Defence Force leaders and elements specific to each service branch. These editions were supplied to the chaplaincy services and new recruits.
This year, we plan to reprint these three Bible editions for the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
